The small double room was lovely and cosy, perfect for a solo traveler. Breakfast offered a great selection, including poached eggs, while dinner, although busy due to Christmas parties, was enjoyable and promptly served. The room's condition felt a bit tired, and , the bar service was sometimes inadequate, impacting the overall experience.

We had twin room with a functional bathroom. The food was delightful and there were plenty of dishes in the menu. Immensely pleasant staff, they helped us a lot. The hotel was placed in the very central location to Theatre.

I was here for 2 nights and ate at attached restaurant for dinner and breakfast. And it had tea/coffee and a small couch. The setting was excellent, close to local food establishments as well as Portsmouth and Southampton. The service was great, the food was excellent!

Comfortable superior room with four poster bed - very comfortable. Good vale food well-presented,
Leather chair in room damaged by grafitti. Morning newspaper disappeared.

Great location. Poor service.
Location great, relative to Fareham. Plenty of parking.
Zero appreciation of the concept of customer service. Defensive, unfriendly staff. Very much the traditional English "jobsworth" attitude - any accommodation of a customer's wishes would be too much trouble, and "not our policy". Bathroom was pokey, not well lit, with a very strange shower that seemed to be 50+ years old, and with no apparent logic to its operation. No air-con, so opening the window is the only option, and if your room faces the entrance alley to the hotel then you'll be dealing with the sounds of cars, deliveries, hotel operations.

My partner and I booked a double room as we were attending a wedding reception held at their stable room, we were pleasantly surprised to find that we were upgraded when we booked in. The room was excellent, with a 4 poster bed, very clean and tidy, tea and coffee facilities and en-suite. We arrived earlier than the booking time and were allowed the keys to the room and not made to wait until said time. The reception staff were all very friendly and helpful as were the bar and restaurant staff. The food was lovely, and the choices for breakfast was outstanding. We would definitely stay here again.

Breakfast is amazing. Not just a good buffet but cooked breakfast to order. It is almost worth going for that! Location is central and an easy drive from the private car park to the Motorway!
